Scrap The Boys August Challenge

The challenge this month at Scrap The Boys is a mummy and son theme, so I definitely had to have a go at this one. I always try to make sure that I am in the photos as well, not just the one always taking them!

Here is my layout-

I have matted my photos then placed them on some pleated grey polka dot tissue paper for some dimension.

I've used some brand new diamond embellies from Charm's Creations (in teal of course! Love these!)

Kaisercraft August Challenge

I'm so excited to be able to participate in this month's Kaisercraft challenge.

It's a sketch challenge-

Here is my layout.

This is a photo of my two boys with their Pa, my Dad. When I saw the new Time Machine collection I knew it would be perfect for this photo - the clocks representing the generations and the grungy industrial designs reflecting the shed and tractor in the photo.

I've finished off the layout by adding some Flowers, Mini Paper Blooms and some Pearls. I also added some metal cogs and some stencilling.

I've added some hidden journalling to say how special my photo is to me.

I hope you get a chance to have a go at the challenge and check out the inspiring work from the Design Team.

Scrap The Girls August Challenge

It's such a gorgeous colour scheme on this month's mood board at Scrap The Girls-

Here is my layout-

This is a photo of my sister and I when she was in town recently. Can you see the resemblance!

Here are some close ups-

I like adding little touches of gold here and here so I get the bling without being to overpowering, and word stickers and sequins are great for that.

And of course I've used some Charm's Creations handmade embellies.

Jot Magazine August Moodboard Challenge

Have you ever finished a layout and stepped back and found that it is "You on a page". This is exactly what happened with this layout.

This page isn't just a photo of me on the page, but the whole page is "Me on a page". From all the shades of blue ( I love blue and I'm a very calm person) to the beachy white-washed wood background ( I love coastal style and am very at home at the beach and in the ocean). Even the little touches of sparkle and the subject of 'Here and Now enjoying the sunshine' - definitely 'Me'!

I have used a 'DIY' heart from Charm's Creations. I simply misted directly on to the heart then inked a darker colour randomly around the edges to give it some dimension.

This page was inspired by this month's beautiful moodboard at Jot Magazine.
