Dusty Attic January challenge

Today I am playing along with the Dusty Attic January challenge.

This year the challenges will now incorporate a sketch as well as a mood board.

I used both the sketch and the colour palette on my layout. I couldn't resist these blue tones!

My papers are Maggie Holmes and Dear Lizzy.

I have used the 'love' piece from the Dusty Attic 'Mini Captions #7'  set. I heat embossed with WOW embossing powder.

I have embellished with a heart from Charm's Creations and some wordfetti, resin flowers and wood veneer from D'Lish Scraps.

I used several doilies, and coloured some with Tim Holtz Distress Spray for some more vibrant pops of colour.

ScrapbookingTop50 January challenge

This month is a quote challenge at Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia.

And here is my DT page -

I have used sprays and stencils for my background.

I have then embellished with the 'Day Dream' kit from Rainbow Splendour.

I have used acrylic paint and stamping to alter the wood veneer chevrons.

Before I stuck the yellow stars down, I simply traced around them with a Sharpie pen.

More Than Words/Anna's Craft Cupboard January challenges

Did somebody say bling??!!?

As soon as I saw this month's challenge at More Than Words I immediately thought 'New Years Eve"!

I also took inspiration from the January colour challenge at Anna's Craft Cupboard. These are real 'party' colours too.

So I scrapped a pic of the fun we had with sparklers on New Years Eve, the kids just loved them! And I thought sequins would be a great 'bling' idea, I just forgot how long it would take to stick them all down!!!! ( It's saying something that its half way through the month and I've only just finished this page!)

So here is my 'CELEBRATE' and very 'BLING' page -

I used some gold glitter foam as well as some glitter Thickers.

I kept my other embellishments to a minimum with just some Hip Kit Club ephemera.

 Sequins, sequins, and more sequins!!!!!

I finished off with more bling - a sequin bow from D'Lish Scraps.

Creative Kit Club January kit - DT share

This month's kit at Creative Kit Club features the gorgeous new collection from Kaisercraft called 'Ubud Dreams'. I absolutely love the colour palette and the designs in this kit.

My projects below can be found in this month's kit magazine, with step-by-step instructions included.

My first layout is documenting a special moment between my sister and my son. I had this photo already printed out in a sepia tone, which really fit in well with the colour palette of the collection.

All of the papers are just gorgeous.

My second layout is a 'selfie' layout, and I chose more of the white and lighter blue tones.

I used the add-on Mandala die, and lots of ink!

I also made a couple of cards.

Its such a versatile kit and the colour range works well for either masculine or feminine projects.

If you'd like to get your hands on this kit its a good idea to subscribe so you don't miss out. Don't forget if you subscribe for 6 months you will get a 10% discount.

Stuck?! Sketches/VLVS January challenges

Surprisingly,  I don't think I've played along with
Stuck?! Sketches challenges before, but this month's
sketch really stood out for me.

I was also inspired by the challenge at Viva Las Vegastamps

And here is my page-

I've used quite a few hand-made embellies from Charm's Creations.
How cute is the little cat!

I've stamped a grungy chevron from Viva Las Vegastamps onto book pages then cut out and added to my cluster.

I also used some washi, some punchinella
and a few enamel dots. I also dug out some Heidi Swapp chipboard pieces.

Scrap The Boys January challenge - DT share

The challenge this month at Scrap The Boys is to use numbers somewhere on your page.

Here is my DT page-

I created my background with lime green acrylic paint, then added some black acrylic paint through a numbers stencil. I also added some black stamping. I kept it pretty grungy for a boy's page!

I stapled on some netting from an onions bag for texture, as well as some strips of washi and paper.

I added some of my favourite hand-made embellies from Charm's Creations and Flutterby Designs, and a few Kaisercraft domino stickers.
